Now that our Class of 2024 students are crossing the finish line, it’s time to shift the focus to ensuring that the rising seniors are well prepared for the challenges they are about to face!

In this article, we will share a uni prep survival checklist for all Class of 2025 students so they can plan out their critical months before admissions peak season effectively!

Summer Break

Finalize the major / program to apply for

Confirm the list of universities with reasonable reach, match, and safety options based on your academic performance and profile strength

Map out university application deadlines and devise early application strategy (if applicable)

Organize and update student resume with latest achievements and experiences

Start drafting important admissions essays, such as the Common App essay, UCAS personal statement etc.

Participate in academic enrichment / extracurricular activities (summer programs, self learning, passion project, research etc.)

Study for and sit standardized test (if applicable)

G11 / Y12 First Semester

Confirm teacher recommendation arrangements (for students applying to US universities)

Set up application portals and save login details

Finalize student resume

Complete all admissions essays and other required written materials

Fill out financial aid / scholarship applications (if applicable)

Submit university application according to your high school’s internal application deadlines

On top of the above mentioned items, it is also important to keep up with your in-school academic performance throughout your senior year!
