We hosted in-person presentations for King Faisal School school (KFS) IB 10 and 11 students twice, in December 2019 and January 2020.

By speaking to Munir Abdul Razzak, Guidance and College Counselor at KFS, we realized that the biggest needs the students had were around university applications (overall preparation, timelines, etc.) and more specifically around engineering majors and careers.

The first presentation we hosted to c. 40 students covered the US university application process including SAT preparation and top tips. The second presentation was attended by c. 60 students and covered engineering majors across the middle east (incl. Ryadh given the interest in studying at local universities by some of the students), the UK and US. The presentations were recorded for the school's future use.

We were overwhelmed with the students' participation during the sessions and after. In the days following the presentations, we met individually for 45-minute sessions with at least 10 students who requested time with us. Some of them brought their parents and siblings to have their family as support and source of accountability as they committed to a roadmap that would guide their activities - from choice of classes to standardized tests to extracurricular activities - for the next few years.

That's right: after each 1:1 session, every student received a completely free personalized roadmap to help them stay self motivated and active, so that the spark Millie ignited at school would be kept alive for months to come!
