Hope Johnson is the Secondary School Counsellor at SEK International School Qatar. She has been in international education for over fifteen years, working in South Korea, China, and Madagascar as a teacher before taking on this role. She maintains her certification as primary and middle school generalist, a History specialist, with an additional qualification in Guidance and Careers Counselling. Hope completed her Master’s in International Education in 2020 with a focus on intercultural competence.
With students successfully applying to around 10 countries annually, Hope’s ability to offer a personalized approach has been bolstered by her engagement in organizations such as the International Association of College Admissions Counselling (IACAC) and the Doha Professional Resource Group (DPRG). Her day-to-day work, professional engagements, and continuing education are motivated by the desire to support young people in their success. It is her deep belief that education is the key to global advance and her goal that the students she supports will be better prepared for the challenges we face together in the 21st century.
